1Silver Amalgam

Silver amalgam is widely known filling material. The popularity of amalgam among dentists is because it is affordable as well as its strength and durability. And even though they are not aesthetically pleasing, these fillings can typically last 15 years or longer. There is no concern about contamination from saliva or blood.


2Composite fillings

Composite fillings are very popular because of the same color appearance that can be matched to the shade of your existing teeth.
This filling can be durable till 5 years.


3Ceramic fillings

Ceramic fillings are made of porcelain and are both durable as well as aesthetically pleasing. This material is expensive than the other filling materials, but ceramics are tooth-colored and more resistant to stain and abrasion.


4Glass ionomers

Glass ionomers are made of glass and acrylic. It is long lasts upto 5 years. They are a mostly choice for children whose teeth are continuous changing. It releases fluoride, which helps to protect the tooth from decay.


5Gold fillings

Gold fillings are also used to do filling and it is an expensive solution but the gold material is sturdy and non-corrosive.
